** 2,5 stars **At first I had sympathy for Nate, reading about what he'd been through involving Kellan (read the blurb). Kellan is a spoiled jerk who wants to get back at his dad after his dad cut him off. Not much sympathy for him. Nate seemed like the nice guy while Kellan is the jerk. As the stor...
Re-read 2/22/14 - 2/22/14No change in the previous rating. Review written 2/22/14. Here's the thing these two guys are assholes. But somehow, for some reason, they worked together. These two guys are selfish, immature, self-centered pricks. But again they worked together. Most of the sex in this book...
This is one of those books where the set-up had me really nervous: too contrived and implausible, the kind of thing that Hollywood loves for its rom-coms, featuring characters who never behave like actual human beings. But I am learning not to underestimate K. A. Mitchell, because both Nate and Kel...
These characters both needed a good slap, although one much more than the other (and surprisingly not the one I thought it would be at the beginning of the book). Yet despite being so infuriating that I wanted to shake them, I also wanted them to get their happy ever after. Not that I think it's go...
Kellan needs a boyfriend because he wants to stick it to his overbearing homophobic father. He looks up his childhood bestfriend in the hopes that Nathan will be a pal and fake being in love with him. Kellan and Nathan aren't really likeable men so this really affected my enjoyment here. Kellan spen...
This just goes round and round and really ends up nowhere. Why should I care about these two guys? Give me one good reason? Kellan is a loser, but really. He’s like, what, almost 30 and he’s self-centered, a real playboy/skirt chaser, has no skillzzz (not even bo-staff, ok he can play the guitar a b...
This book was a fail. Both the characters and the plot are weak. Kellan is spoiled and selfish and Nate is a know-it-all with no personality. There was absolutely no chemistry and zero build-up to their relationship. Their actions and reasons for being together made no sense and this is where...
2.5 Stars maybe...I just could not like the 2 MCs; both are too self-absorbed to create any real chemistry. The premise for the plot sounded good but didn't live up to its potential. ETA: Read Damon Suede's review. It clarifies the problems with this book much better than I ever could!
