I admit I was a bit apprehensive to read this mainly because it had a lot to live up to from Hot Head and reviews emphasized the comic/movie/cult tv heavy world, but in the end like most books, everything turned out ok. The technical stuff didn't bother or overly confuse me which made me realize I'm...
An above-average, memorable book. Sometimes the main characters of this story are very, very frustrating in clinging to the negative patterns of thought that get in their way... but that contributes to the air of realism that I liked about it. Doesn't advance as fast as most romances. I had a few pr...
Comic books, we all read them when we were kids and some of us still read them. We watch the movies, we praise for the heroes and heroines. We revile the villains. We get a chance to escape our everyday humdrum lives. But what about the people who write them? Bad Idea is the story of one of those pe...
2.5 starsI wanted to like this book. I tried really hard to love it even. No dice. It's so very very long. There's easily 30% of the story that's just padding and word fluff. I spent a good bit of the book drowning in the words and general confusion. Admittedly, some of my confusion came from not be...
Bad Idea was something like a roller coaster ride for me. It went up and down, and up and down again. At times it was a strong 4-stars-read, at others it was barely a weak 3-stars-read. Which is why I'm finding it quite difficult to rate this book...Damon Suede sure knows how to write. His chatacter...
I'd heard a lot about Damon Suede so when I saw this story features to geektastic guys, I was eager to dive in. Overall, I'd say it was fun and definitely hot, but the first half really dragged for me. This isn't one of those stories where the question of will they or won't they get together is the ...
4.5 stars. An excellent well-written m/m romance full of snappy dialogue and angst. Trip is an insecure cartoonist who falls for hunky make-up artist Silas at a zombie apocalypse run.'Maybe this date would turn out better than the last. What did Silas expect? If only there were thought-bubbles he co...
To me this book read like a sitcom. There is a whole lot of dialogue which I really enjoyed. It took me into the conversation like I was right there with them. I enjoyed the banter between the friends of the two main characters, Trip and Silas. Their conversations were real life. I believe the way t...
As much as I enjoyed this authors last book, I'm afraid this one is not for me. Got stuck about half way through and although I tried to get into it, this was just too choppy for me to read. Long dialogues, characters I couldn't engage with meant it's been tough to read. Have to be a DNF for now.
