I gave this Christmasy Cozy a 4.5. It was a fast moving cozy and was very pleasant until they found a body. Mother and daughter did their snopping and still got ready for Christmas. If only I could be that organized. It was a fun Christmas read, not overly long. I'll need to read more of this author...

I find the conceit of this novella to be interesting. Told though two voices – Brandy and Mother - , the story also has interjections from the editor. The humor is actually funny. Honestly, however, I found Brandy very annoying, and the story only really took off when Mother started telling the tale...

I might have liked it more if the "Mother" and "Daughter" hadn't bickered so much. The family dynamics were extremely messed up. Then there is their habit of making light of Mental problems such as depression, bipolar disorders, and diabetic problems.
