Barbara Goldstein, author of several fast-paced historical thrillers in Germany, was born north of Hamburg, has lived near Frankfurt and now is at home in Munich. She has worked as a chairman’s secretary in a bank and human resources manager, before she discovered a love of fiction writing during a trip to California. With the stack of "How-to-write-and-sell-your-novel"-books she bought in a town midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles, she studied creative writing, all by herself. Since her first historical novel in Ancient Egypt, "Die Baumeisterin" now available as e-book "Die Herrin der Pyramiden", she has worked consistently writing breathtaking renaissance thrillers about intrigues, pursuit, murder and love. Her exciting books were translated in several European languages, including Italian and Spanish. Since 2010 Barbara writes her novels in contemporary literature (adventure and love stories in the 19th and 20th century) under an American pen name, since her stories play in California, Alaska and Hawaii. In 2013 Barbara published two novels under a second pen name: Lara Myles. So far, Barbara has published 16 books. She produces a novel every year. She travels to the settings of her books to get a feel for the area and to do research.
