30/8 - Good start so far. The talk of the upcoming renovation of Stanway House (J.M. Barrie was inspired to write Peter Pan by the house) reminds me of the UK shows of ordinary people renovating their newly bought stately and heritage listed homes - Grand Designs, Restoration Home, My Dream Derelict...
This could have been a stronger novel if the author had focus less on the main character and more on the various characters in the swimming society.
