While this was an interesting take on fairy tale classics, it pretty much turned into the show Once Upon a time with a different villain. The story itself was kind of confusing and the connections were a bit lose. The narration follows various characters, which sometimes works, but I often needed to...

I found the humor a bit out of place given the kidnapping, torture/mutilation, and murder. I felt it tried too hard. Tisi came across as an idiot, not to mention selfish. The romance was meh.

Cute. Not cutesy, but cute. I'd call it a light, fast read for Halloween, but even though it takes place in the days before Samhain there isn't anything Halloween-y about it. At least no beyond the witches and Fae that are part of all the books in the series. Likeable characters, small-town set...

"Leroy shot up, delivered a roundhouse kick to my shin, and returned to the coffee table. “Ouch! You stupid lawn jockey. Can’t we just flush him down the toilet?” I said, rubbing my leg. Leroy mooned me. I picked up the lamp and was about to implant it in his ass when Trina shouted, “Stop it! Both o...

Not the best short story ever. It tries too hard to be funny, if you know what I mean. Good twist at the ending, however. Points for that.

I giggled. Now, I am not a giggle girl, but I. Giggled. FUNNY!Gnome Wars (Adventures of the Fae Realm) by Barbra Annino was a giggle a minute, and I loved it. Very short, only 19 pages, the story of Leroy the Gnome (OK, OK, he is a Brownie, but Dang, he sure Looks like a Garden Gnome) and his poor a...
