Batwoman is a character with a long history but sporadic publication record at DC Comics. The character was first introduced in the Fifties as a response to the speculation that Batman and Robin were homosexuals. Batwoman and Batgirl teased and flirted with Batman and Robin to serve as a reminder th...
Reread 2/26. Gorgeous art, solid writing. I'm not sold on the Circus of Crime (supervillains, eh), but Kate Kane's backstory is terrific. The coloring is also notable: black, white, and red for the Batwoman scenes, autumnal Mucha shades for Kate's civilian life, a little extra fading for childhood...
Damn these new Batwoman graphic novels are so beautiful. Find me a Batman novel as well drawn out and colored as these... I want one like it.. Will be finding more comics/novels drawn by the same artist, this work is downright amazing.

I liked it! The forward is by Rachel Maddow, if that gives you a hint of what's going on with the Batwoman character here. I am 100% for it. The art is gorgeous but doesn't get in the way of the story. The story is good--it kind of fast forwards right to the interesting parts, but but then switches ...
Gorgeous art, a fantastic, kick-ass protagonist, good writing. I'm a fan!
