I've read most of the stuff that Shiloh Walker (J.C. Daniels) has written. I like most of it, even if stuff about a particular story bugs me. This is like that. I liked the characters. Marc is a musician and a bit of an ass. Self-absorbed, but not a bad person. Chaili is a web designer and a s...

The ending was really rushed.

3.5 stars.Good, but ultimately I felt like there was too much going on, and not enough time for the author to address it all. The reason for her scars alone would be enough fodder for an angsty romance, but SW has thrown in rock star thing, the best friend's brother thing, and a hint of the BDSM thi...

This book worked for me in so many ways. Interesting, well-developed characters. A lot of story packed into a short length. Independent heroine. Well done D/s sex - particularly the discussion about limits. That was probably one of my favourite passages. It also made my cry, in a good way. The spoile...

Both of the main characters have flaws that get in the way. Shiloh Walker is very good at writing characters with flaws and you still fall in love with them.

oooh a low rating book for me. I found I just couldn't connect with this book. I found myself not liking Marc very much his mannerisms didn't gel with me at all. Chaili I liked more and the way and I thought the way of writing about her scars was done well. But sadly I wasn't into romance betwee...

I kept waiting for the OMG moment, but I never got it. It was a little anti-climactic for me.

*I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange of an honest review*This and other reviews can also be found on my blog (un)Conventional Bookviews.Marc has known Chaili since they were kids, and for the most time, he only saw her as his sister's best friend. Chaili on the other hand...

Shiloh has a knack for bringing characters who have major flaws and issues to light. Both of our leads have problems but under everything is a love that has been simmering for years hidden behind friendship and distance.I just have to start by saying - Marc is a complete and utter ass. Ok that's o...
