Becky Haigler is retired after 24 years of teaching Spanish and Reading in Texas public secondary schools. As an Air Force wife, she had the opportunity to live in Spain, Germany, Japan, Hawaii, New Mexico, and Texas. Her poetry has appeared in Cappers Magazine, Christian Single Magazine, Jack and Jill, Writer's Guidelines and News, Devo'Zine, and Lubbock Magazine. Becky has sold word puzzles to Children's Playmate. Her short stories for adolescents have been published under the name Becky McClure by the Nazarene Publishing House, Power/Line Papers, the Review and Herald Publishing Association, and Pioneer Ministries. Becky has two magic realism stories included in the anthology Able to...., from NeoNuma Arts Press. She currently resides in Shreveport LA with her husband Dave Haigler, where she is serving as president of Shreveport Writers Club. This mother of two daughters and grandmother of three granddaughters is an editor and founding partner of Silver Boomer Books.
