The first book in the Ramona Quimby series was really more like the first book in the Beatrice Quimby series (which never happened). Ramona is just four years old, Beezus is nine and the two sisters are very different in temperament and personality, leading to untold conflict. I felt for Beezus beca...

Any and all Ramona Quimby books would be, in my opinion, a huge benefit for teachers to share with their class. After having the Ramona books read to me growing up, I think these books would be most suitable for a second grade classroom. Beverly Cleary does a wonderful job of introducing readers to ...

This suck such a fun, playful read. Ramona is adorable and annoying in all the ways a sister can be! I spent to much time laughing through this. Your really feel for Beezus and the caught in the middle dilemma she is in but I can't help but cheer on the little sister. Her antics are fantastic! I...

I read this book when I was younger. I am now reading it to my children and they love it. My six tear old son has never liked to be read to but hebis actually enjoying our one chapter a night routine. I think he has developed a slight crush on Beezus. He comments on some of the things that Ramona do...

I needed to read this one for a Copycat Challenge for my group. And man, did I hate this book.Ramona is one of the most annoying, aggravating, stupid, idiotic characters I have ever seen (and I read a lot). I truly hated her, I don't care that she is 4 or 3 or 5 for all I care, she was a total horre...

Fun, cute, believable story about what it means to be part of a family. Beezus and Ramona are both adorable, their mom has unbelievable patience, and a few of the chapters were very funny. It was also interesting to get a glimpse into a different time. It fascinated me that Beezus was left home alo...

I'm clearly starting to read things in "parent-mode" as the first thing I thought was "why is this nine year old alone in the house watching a four year old?" But the characters are just as enjoyable as I remembered!

I felt like Beezus. I am the older system with my own Ramona. Although, really, I have two Ramona. Fortunately, my Ramonas are no where as troublesome as the one in the book. I remember reading this as a kid and thinking, I'm glad my sister is this way. Still, Ramona made me laugh.
