This book has such high ratings that I've tried several times to get into it and finish. But, no. This one is definitely a DNF for me.

3.5/5.0I thought this was a beautiful story of two very broken people. We discover the back story for Brett and Cory through out the first two thirds of the book, then an event happens to Cory that just did not work for me. It seemed unnecessary to add this trauma to Cory's life and some of the c...

I really couldn't get into the MCs POV with all the phonetic spelling. It's one of my big pet peeves in fiction.

I like that Brett is so committed to Cory's welfare, even though his idolization of Cory can be a bit wearing (it is understandable considering the way Brett grew up.) I like that Cory...

1.5 starsReview Summary: I'm in a minority that disliked this book, but disjointed narrative, strong dialect, Big Misunderstanding, and lots of unlikable characters made this story difficult for me to read.Review: This was a particularly challenging review to write, because I hated this book when I ...

I am having trouble writing this review, I have started it a few times, and just can’t find the right entrance. I tried with saying that this story was beautiful, because it was, bittersweet at times, but beautiful none the less. I tried with humor, because I just can’t not point out the Fabio hair ...
