I liked this! Not your average look at this fairy tale and it was a nice short read.

Strongly reminiscent of Robin McKinley's retelling of the same fairy tale in Rose Daughter, only shortened and simplified for a younger readership.

Nice and simple retelling of the classic, with an interesting look at "Beauty" and what that is and how Belle deals with not having it as her gorgeous sisters do. It adds very little to the canon for this story, but I loved April and Dominic. Still, the ending was rushed.
