Benjamin C. M. Fung received the Ph.D. degree in computing science from Simon Fraser University, Canada, in 2007. He is currently an assistant professor in the Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering (CIISE) at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada, and a research scientist of the National Cyber-Forensics and Training Alliance Canada (NCFTA Canada). His current research interests include data mining, database, privacy preservation, information security, and digital forensics, as well as their interdisciplinary applications on current and emerging technologies. His publications span across the research forums of data mining, privacy protection, cyber forensics, and services computing. His research has been supported in part by the Discovery Grants from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the NCFTA Canada. Before pursuing his academic career, Dr. Fung worked at SAP Business Objects and designed reporting systems.
