One of my favourite contemplative books ever - and I've always loved Piglet best of all the 100-Acres Wood residents. There's a lot to think about here, and to embrace.
Ta książka to właściwie "dwa w jednym". Z jednej strony jest to książka opisująca filozofie wschodu - taoizm, a z drugiej można tu poczytać całkiem długich fragmentów książek o Kubusiu Puchatku.
Autor, poprzez postacie z książek o Kubusiu Pucha...
I found this book to be very thought provoking as well as wonderfully written. The Te of Piglet explores the characteristics of Piglet on a deeper level. While typically depicted as the trembling, shy member of the Winnie-the-Pooh gang, this book delves deeper into Piglet's psyche and shows the true...
Much like its companion book , The Te of Piglet, this book takes a deeper look at the lovable, clumsy character that is Winnie-the-Pooh. The author does an amazing job of delving into Pooh's psyche and proves that there is more that makes this bear tick than just honey. While the content includes mu...
It would be easy to dismiss this book by its cover as a ‘child’s read’ and leave it on the shelf. That would be a shame, for this charming book portrays the principles of Taoism through the story of Winnie the Pooh - and the other characters - in such a way that it makes the reader stop… and think a...

Once again Hoff uses Winnie the Pooh characters as a vehicle to explain Taoism, but in the Te of Piglet, Hoff carries the discussion a step further and links his thoughts with some of the issues facing society today. While on a personal level I may agree with most of what he is saying, I found that ...
To be honest, I am not a big "Winnie the Pooh" fan, and I was going to put this book down after the first 30 pages, but I am thankful that I kept reading. Benjamin Hoff does a fantastic job of explaining Taoism in an easy to read, intellectually stimulating format. In addition, even if you don’t want...
Always been partial to a little Taoist thinking, and this has been written in a very accessible and entertaining way. I wondered if it might beat me at first when I realised I hadn't read any of the actual Winnie the Pooh books, but of course it makes no difference where this is concerned.Needless t...
