I admit I got this book for the Colleen Gleason story. I was disappointed overall. Northanger Castle starts slowly and gets a little better as it goes on. This isn't something I would read again.

The characters were similar to those by Austen, with very similar traits, but were different enough to be captivatingly manipulated with the confines of an adapted tale of a classic. Though I haven't read the Ga...

My rating is only for Mary Balogh's story, which (for her) was rather uninspired, although the theme of reinacarnation was nicely worked into the story.
