Based in Oakland, California, I write kick ass heroine fantasy stories and tales of adventurous and bold romance heroines. Because that's what I like to read!I am an award-winning author of HENRIETTA THE DRAGON SLAYER, the first book in my young adult fantasy series, The Five Kingdoms. I also write sweet, paranormal romance novellas for my growing Magical Tales of Romance & Adventure series to transport you into worlds of possibility and magic. Because that's where I love to go! When I'm not writing fiction, I work with novelists to help them create compelling stories, publish them, and be bold and true in their marketing. I love to teach what I've learned as a writer and pass my knowledge, expertise, wisdom, and lived experience with other novelists. Together we are strong! When I'm not writing or helping writers, I love to do capoeira -- a Brazilian martial art --, travel near and far (yes, Paris!), and watch action and funny movies with my awesome husband, bestselling author Ezra Barany. We live in Oakland with our two vocal cats, Kitty and Leo, amidst creative chaos and lots of books, art, and collages.More about my creative empire at http://www.bethbarany.com.

Henrietta isn't the type to back down from a fight, but she also won't go looking for them either. She's strong enough to know who sh...
