Short and sweet story of two unlikely people falling in love. I'm not a fan of insta-love, so I really would have liked this story to be longer so that Dakota and Wyatt could have had more time for their feelings to develop. The mystery surrounding the threat that brings Wyatt to Dakota is wrapped ...

Due to a perfect storm of gin & tonics, cabin-visitation, and general slovenliness, I read roughly eleventy million pulp steampunk books this summer. Before they disappear into an undifferentiated stew of plucky scientist's daughters and clockwork corsets, I mean to write up just a little about each...

I know that I am the minority (and probably the only one giving this 2.5*) but the last book of the Cupcake Lovers series just didn't work for me on so many levels. First, while the idea reminded me of the movie I quite enjoyed, The Proposal, I just didn't get why Harper was fired in the first place...

In the previous book, the story of Luke and Reagan was foreshadowed with a love triangle, since Sam (Luke's cousin) also battling for Rae's heart, even if Rae said that she didn't have any feelings for Sam. One thing for sure, I'm glad that the whole love triangle was resolved early on, with the arr...

I kept going back and forth between 3* and 4* for this ... and after several days musing about it, I decided to go with the middle part. I have what I like and dislike from this book.Thirteen years ago, spirited and tomboy Rocky seduced his big brother's best friend, Jayce. They had sex. The morning...

DNF. Never really hooked me. I made it to 42% before I stopped reading and had no desire to continue. The beginning was really random, and I had to check to make sure this was the first book in the series, because it dropped you straight in with no explanation of the terms used.

I really liked the start of this book, story one about daniel and Sam, the world building was very interesting, and I got a warm glow at the end of their story. As the other stories went on they seemed to blend a bit and I got a bit bored. Not an awful read, but just didn't reel me in enough.I recei...

In Anything But Love by Beth Ciotta, it is nearing Christmas and Luke is feeling anything but festive. He’s not really sure why, and he’s really trying…but it all seems to center around Rachel. The mousy young woman who lived and worked in Sugar Creek for a year then one day just up and left with no...
