This was a really beautiful book, the writing was mesmerizing and the story intriguing, the characters both MCs and secondary were well established and so rich and deep, the slow build and the romance and angst were done wonderfully. Levi was amazing I loved him so much, he was so attentive and co...
I've re-read this so many times... I'm loving it more every time I read it.This is not a book about pain, family problems and being afraid. This is a book about healing, family and love. It was absolutely beautiful.Although the subjects handled in this book were heavy, this book made me feel warm in...
Religion is usually something I avoid since I'm a non-believer, but it was so well done, and so not preachy. I loved how Levi was able to tone himself down and help Jaime work through his issues without pressuring him and causing further trauma, a very delicate balance.
This was a solid 4.5 stars pushing 5, up until the very last couple of chapters. Grrr....Even so, I still really enjoyed this book. I connected to the characters instantly. I think the author did a very good job in dealing with Jaime's past. I felt every bit of his turmoil without it being OTT. On t...
I adored this book. I always find Marie Sexton's books well-written and compelling and this was no exception. I found the Mormon family, and the way they tried to deal with their gay son, interesting and unique for a m/m book. And Jamie's abuse trauma was also very well done. I enjoyed how long ...

There's a lot of religious talk that works itself very well into the book, but unfortunately I just can't stand to read it. I skimmed a lot of pages in this book because I can't stand Levi'...
I was very moved by this book. I can't say I necessarily enjoyed it, because parts of it were very, very difficult for me to read. I did think it was stunningly well-written and I can't imagine giving it fewer than five stars.Though I know very little of the Mormon church, Ms. Sexton's portrayal of ...
There was a lot about this story I really do like. I appreciated the honest handling of Jamie's trauma, and the aftermath. It was honest, and didn't downplay what had happened to him in the least. I liked how the author handled Levi's family, and religion. I liked how each of his family members deal...
Phew! Damn that was good. I'll preface by saying I'm in no way religious but I liked the way Levi dealing with his faith was handled, as well as the struggles his family went through. As much as I wanted to smack them sometimes, they came through in the end even if they didn't all approve or agree. ...
