Almost sixty years after the heist in Hot Rocks, the quarter of the diamonds that has never been recovered is back in the limelight thanks to the book written by Laine and Max Gannon's granddaughter who comes home from her book tour to find her house sitter dead...Someone is obviously determined to ...
This was a bit of a departure from the normal Eve Dallas books and I really enjoyed it. Loved the intrigue about the story that happened 50 years previously crossing over into Eve's world. I haven't read the back story on this because I didn't realize that there actually was one until I was finis...
Great story, as usual. Curious to see how it basically spoils the main plot points of Hot Rocks that Nora Roberts published two years later.
I only started remembering this one within the last couple of chapters. I first read it in Remember When, which also has the first part of the story (set in 2000) about the diamond heist. That's been several years ago, so I'm not surprised that I don't remember this one all that well. I don't hav...
Im a sucker for anything from the In Death series.I just love all these characters.Story wise it played out smooth although some parts were obvious enough. Still kept me entertained all the way through.
I didn't enjoy this quite as much as the other books. Writing style seemed a bit off vs the rhythm of the previous books. I think its because of this being part 2 of "remember when", where her 2 author alteregos wrote a part each the 2nd part as JD Robb, 1st as Nora Roberts. Something was just a bit...
Apparently this is a reissue originally published in Remember When which I read but funny enough, didn't remember so I read it again. I loved it the second time as much as the first but give it a month or so and I'll forget again. Maybe I'll hang onto it and read it again someday. It's your typical...
Part of Remember When.Re-read, and no need to read Hot Rocks, the first part of Remember When, since even the event and case in Big Jack loosely tied to Hot Rocks. But maybe you will read Hot Rocks after read this book, just in case you want to know how all it began.Eve still kick ass like before.Pe...
Nothing special about this book. It was great to see Roarke and Eve again though as well the other characters.
This was a fun one - conclusion to "Remember When". I liked how the cold case was finally solved in this book. It's how it is in real life at times, it takes a while to find out who "done" it. Reminds me of the shocking reveal of the real life Deep Throat.
