His work has been nominated for multiple awards, including the Spotted Owl Award, the Left Coast Crime Rocky Award, and the 2011 CWA Short Story Dagger Award for "The Princess of Felony Flats." In 2012, COUNTY LINE was awarded the Spotted Owl for Best Northwest Mystery. He lives in Portland, Oregon.
