I particularly loved the worldbuilding in this novel. The dystopian setting is completely plausible, in contrast to many of the current crop of young adult dystopian novels.

Interesting dystopian concept. I felt as though some parts were a bit stagnant, but overall not too badly written. There were a couple copy-editing errors sprinkled throughout. I guess my biggest complaint is the need to stretch what could have been a good stand alone book into a series. Unfortunate...

She did, and the change was a tad abrupt, but I grew to like her anyway. I liked the secondary characters as well, or better.(I wish I cou...

This book was AMAZING YA lit. I could not put it down and wanted to read more and more. one of the things I really loved was the inclusion of (mostly) correct science. there were so many twists and I really really felt for the characters. LOVE IT.

Finally what I've been looking for - a decent dystopian fiction with likeable, multi-dimensional characters (including a tough-as-nails heroine), an interesting plot and world set-up, and writing that isn't utterly appalling. The premise is fairly simple: a classic futuristic walled society scenario,...
