1.5 stars. Really bad but there's just not enough of it there to actually hate. It is a bad Buffy rip off. so much so that I'm not entirely sure why Warner isn't suing for copyright. Except Buffy at least had other females who helped Buffy. This book definitely suffers from the lone female problem.

Visit my blog for this review and more.*The publisher provided me with this book for review, via Netgalley.*Bite Me by Parker Blue was not at all what I was expecting. Basically a Buffy knockoff (even lampshaded by the author) without Buffy's social commentary, mix with a bit Sookie etc. It's fun but IMHO hardly original.

None of the characters are perfe...

After reading this for the second time, I did like it better than the first time (which I rated it 2 stars). While I still didn't think it was amazing, I did get into the story more this time around. What tempted me into rereading this one is when I finished it the first time I kept thinking about...

This was part of a Free Advanced Copy from Net Galley. This will be a short review as I just didn't get into the book, this is mainly due to the writing style. For me the story was predictable. The protagonist Val Shapiro is typical teen nothing about her stood as memorable. This is o.k. for a childr...

Val Shapiro, is not an ordinary teenager. She's part-demon, part-human, she hosts a succubus inner demon (she calls her "Lola"). She also hunts vampires, which helps to settle Lola's lust. On the night of her 18th birthday, Val is kicked out her family after her mother worries that her night activit...
