The illustrations were gorgeous and really well detailed, though the in-between sketches were less detailed. The story was really well plotted, with excellent world building, good pacing, and a slow, gradual reveal of the secrets. Sometimes the text was confusing to follow, with so many extra notes ...

There's no hiding my addiction to the anime adaptation. I've seen every episode at least three times, I cling to my crack OTP theory like it's my life, and I write original fiction...based on Black Butler. But, simply put, volume one doesn't perform as EXCEPTIONALLY as I expected it to, but it still...

It's not really my kind of thing, it's not bad it just didn't really make me want to see the series or the rest of the manga. I'm not sorry I read it but I just didn't really like it.Sebastian, the Black Butler serves Ciel Phantomhive, Earl and toy-maker. It's a Victorian London where anything cou...

But it has everything I really like in manga and other genres: Victorian England as envisioned by the Japanese...

I actually watched the first season of the anime before picking up the manga. I really like the story progression laid out in the manga. It starts out seeming to be the misadventures of a very competent butler with an eccentric master and incompetent staff. However, at the end, you realize that s...

A light touch of horror, pacts with the devil, goosebump inducing relationships and one hot butler. Really, what more can you ask for in this manga, it has it all, and it gets progressively creepier as the volumes are released.

If the second one isn't better, I'm done with this series. Daft would be an understatement.
