-- Originally reviewed at Here There Be Books (goes live July 17, 2013). --I wanted to read Blaze mostly because of the comic book angle; also, I really loved the cover. Loving certain aspects of a book, as I should have remembered, does not mean I'll love the WHOLE book, however, and that's what ha...

Blaze won me over from the very beginning with its front page quote taken from an X-Men comic. Being the X-Men geek (okay, comic geek--but X-Men are my fave) that I am, I admit to maybe squee-ing out loud a bit on that. Blaze is a relatable character to me, though I did have my questionable moments ...
Usually I don't read books that I have no idea about. I'm definitely one of these people who read a synopsis first and then use that to judge whether or not I'll read a book. But Blaze caught me completely unaware - really, I'm still wondering how it even ended up on my Kindle app. Even still, I fin...
Be still my geeky heart! Blaze is the best anti-love story I’ve ever read…it’s also the only one I’ve ever read, but I’m positive that it would still remain among the top 3 even if I had read others. It’s not often that a book boasts having a legitametly geeky main character and Blaze definitely man...

3.5 to 4 starsThis one is hard to rate. I loved Blaze's voice, but I hated many of the choices she made. I enjoyed to comic geekiness, and could relate to Blaze's inner nerd. Her overwhelming desire to have a boyfriend, even one so wrong for her, made me want to shake some common sense back into ...

When I started reading Blaze I wasn't expecting anything at all. I just ...
2 stars - the story itself was alright (although it seemed a bit slow to start), but a very, very judgmental main character and constant slutshaming made it difficult for me to get through this book without throwing it - luckily, I didn't, since it was an ebook.
