He says how most of our decisions are unconscious.. as the writer is in awe of the power of the unconscious mind & gives the dangers of quick decisions too, the indication that we can do nothing abt it doesn't sit well with me. Book is like the soup, u might hv to read some other book as a main cour...

Blink is a study in how the human mind processes and forms conclusion within the blink of an eye. In this book he explores how first impressions are often correct, even if we don't understand why, but also how they can go horribly wrong. Throughout the book Gladwell gives us several in-depth example...

I read Blink first, and The Tipping Point second. I actually enjoyed Blink more. (Maybe too much of one author in the same place.)

Information may actually slow you down when you have too much ...

Blink is an elegant 5 Star piece of science writing, dealing with how we think and chose in an instant. We make snap decisions based on experience or some other basis. Sometimes that is good and sometimes not. There are many good reviews so I am not going to spend more time on a review. What I will...

This was a fascinating look at how our sub-conscious makes split second decisions. I was very impressed by Gladwell's writing style. He could make almost any subject pleasant to read, but besides that he wrote about a very interesting subject. It isn't often that I feel like I can't put a book do...
