This was a very quick read, but I am ready for more. What a great beginning!
A quick glimpse into Nicole's life and insight into her new powers.I loved the level of description and the natural, albeit speedy growth of the characters. This is a great example of how a short story should be!I will be reading the next one in the series!
This was definitely more of a "prologue" than a real "novella", but it does contain not only a nice setup for what sounds like an interesting series, but also has a somewhat complete (albeit very short) stroyline involving Nicole's new powers and a rather scary incident where she saves the day.
