This really isn’t my favorite Francis novel. I find it to be disjointed and jumpy. I also have problems with the main character’s relationship. It’s weird feeling reading this book.
This was a dark moody tale of Jean the nihilist Hunter, just managing to pull back from passive suicide because of his duty to the people he is contracted to help. As the title suggests this is all about bloodlines, stud money and missing stallions.
