I felt a little lost in this, it's been too long since I read this series. There were a lot of characters with complex back stories that were relevant to the tale, once I got into the swing of things it was mostly okay but this one is not a stand alone. Still this did keep me guessing. and that en...
Years back I read books 4-7 of this series, though I don't really remember much about them aside from the fact that they centered around a group of law enforcement agents who have paranormal abilities, and that it was run by a man named Bishop. This was book 12. I works well enough as a stand alon...
Blood Ties -- Kay Hooper Book 12 of Bishop/SCU series Adult, Paranormal Mystery, Romantic Suspense, Crime Thriller Blood Ties concludes the Blood trilogy with Hollis Templeton as our front stage and center main character. Throughout the entire Blood trilogy, I don't deny that I felt Hollis's pre...
Definitely my favorite yet. I had a good idea that Diana's father was the one behind it from the last book, but I didn't quite trust my guess because I'm usually terrible at these things! However, once they brought her in on this book and started talking about his constant phone calls, I just knew i...
This was an ok installment in the Bishop/SCU series and ended a three book story line. I wouldn's say I disliked this book it was just a bit dull, although better than Blood Sins in my opinion. I keep remembering Kay Hooper from years ago when I enjoyed her books more. I don't know if I've changed...
Seemed a little contrived or forced as compared to the others. An okay book but just not as good as others.
Blood Ties is book #12 of the Bishop Special Crimes Unit series and last in the Blood Trilogy. Kay Hooper continues to be one of my favorite para-mystery writers. In this story especially since she wove a lot of previous characters into the story. She also included footnotes, per reader requests,...
I have really liked this series from the start, but this one was a bit lacking. I hope she explores Hollis and Reese more in the next book. Talk about leaving us hanging! Also, I felt like there was just too much going on that is got a bit hectic at tea. I look forward to the next one, though.
Wow. WAAAAAAAY too much exposition in this book. Wish we had seen more of the relationship between Reese and Hollis. After watching. Hollis go through everything, I think we earned at least that much. It was also good to see Miranda, and we even got a little Miranda-And-Bishop.
