Amanda Carlson is an amazing writer. I love Jessica McClain and her feisty attitude. She is daring, sarcastic and determined. This novella gave me some more excitement for Red Blooded...In this novella this shares Jessica's life before she turned into a werewolf. She is the only born female in the w...

For this review and more visit my blog The Accidental ReaderI'll keep it short. It's a nice novella that tells us a bit about Jessica before we meet her at Full Blooded. However, you can skip it as well. You'll get enough of Jessica's character without this one, and while being well written I didn't...

Read this book easily in 2 sittings. Found it well written with endearing characters, especially the main chcaracter. Somehow Carlson managed to make a female werewolf endearing - no mean feat! Really wnjoyed this book, despite not being a huge fan of vampire books.

Shorter story. You get to see what Jessica had to grow up with. How much her father and brother love her, but that it makes them, her father especially, a little blind. Good prequel. I wish I'd read this before the first book.

But here it worked, I felt that this could stand on its own and it did make me want more. This time in a good way.It starts with a fight. Jessi...

The premise had potential but the exposition posing as endless, awkward dialogue was a complete turn-off. This novella was an exercise in mapping out the world so it doesn't clutter up the first novel in the series, I assume. The grocery list of characters (aisle three - controlling, over-protective...

My Rating: 3 stars: Liked it, but I had some issues - recommend (B)Blooded is a prequel novella set in a new urban fantasy series by Amanda Carlson. The short story outlines a few days in our heroine’s life just after her nineteenth birthday. Jessica is the only female to be born into a shifter wolf...

This is a prequel novella to Full Blooded, the first novel in the Jessica McClain series.Liked:* The world seems really cool and I like the author's take on werewolves. I am especially interested to see what's up with Jessica's "curse."* Jessica is an interesting character and I definitely want to r...
