⭐4 stars⭐"Takes a lot of tries before you hit perfection." He paused to reconsider that. "Well, except for my parents. They got it on the first try."

I loved the Vampire Academy series and held off reading this for ages thinking it might not have grabbed me as much as the other series but you know what? I got really into it! I always find Richelle's story quick and easy reads and this was no exception. If I could have, I'd have read this in one s...

More like 3.5 stars... I still love Richelle Mead's writing, but this was definitely a stumbling start to a series. I loved Vampire Academy, and although I'm not too fond of Sydney at all, I love Adrian and would love to see him get a happy ending. Here's to hoping the second book is better...

3.5 starsI liked this book, but it wasn't as good as the Vampire Academy books for me. I figured out things that were potential surprises almost immediately. What I loved about the story was Adrian. What was most interesting to me was Sydney's blood being different and thinking about where her ma...

Because of the heart wrenching for my (yes, I said my because in my fictional universe he’s all mine-even though he obviously only has eyes for Sydney in Richelle Mead’s world) Adrian I had to see him have happiness. Which is why I gobbled down Bloodlines like a fiend. Like with my binge review o...

When I read the Vampire Academy series I read all 6 books in 2 days. I knew about this series, but I wanted to save them for myself. Also, I didn't think I'd really enjoy reading the books from Sydney's POV as much as Rose's. Honestly, I think I like them more. If I'd have known Adrian was in the bo...

At the acknowledgements Richelle Mead wrote that it was hard starting a new series, even in a familiar setting. Actually, it was kind of hard for me to start reading it. I enjoyed the Vampire Academy series a lot, and wasn't sure if I would like this one. It did help that I already liked Sydney, the...
