When the book opened with Maura Isles coming home from a trip to discover that a woman who looks just like her has been killed outside her home, I'll admit that I didn't have the highest of hopes for this novel. The premise sounded just a little bit too hokey. However, the story ended up being well p...

Maura Isles returns from a pathology conference to find a body in a car outside her house with someone who looks very very much like her dead, from a bullet wound. Not only does the dead woman share her face she shares her genes. The exploration of the murder leads her to look into her past, diggi...

Original review posted at A Date with a BookAlright, so book four in the series was definitely a clincher. Tess you have me hooked on the series with this book. I very much enjoyed this book. As many readers have found, The Apprentice (book two) was kind of a let down and had many wondering if they ...

It was so quickly enveloped in what was happening to Maura and loved how there was so much a focus...

I quite enjoy reading Tess Gerritsen but occasionally I have a sense of unease about some of the things she depicts. That is very much the case with "Body Double". I know horrible things happen, I have spent a good deal of my life examining some of those horrible things before a nervous breakdown f...

One of the better books in this series. I enjoyed learning more about Dr. Isles and thought the plot was twisty enough to keep me engaged to the end. Listened to the audio version which was read by Kathe Mazur.

I liked this one a lot more than #2 and #3. But not as much as The Surgeon. This one has a lot of shockers in it. And I don't know where to begin! I just remember thinking, "wow I have yet to look at the page numbers to see how much farther I have to go to be done!"It was that kind of book. You just ...
