Another in a lengthy string of worth reading forensic anthropology novels by the author who is the force behind the TV show, Bones. I tried watching the TV show when it first came out. Trust me, the books are better. This installment of the Tempe Brennan novels is a pretty darn good read. Ms Reich...

This was a pleasant read, but not the best mystery. There was no urgency. Nothing to keep me reading. I continued because I'd started it. This book was fairly disappointing. I find that even though I love to read book series, eventually they all start to fall apart. This was a really well-written mystery that kept me entertained on the 10 hour drive home this weekend. Listened to the audio version - the actress who reads this novel does a fantastic job. Lots of exposure here to Acadian culture, somethign I knew little about, and the works of Longfellow.

As I'm mainly not a science person, most of these details just sort of go over my head so whilst I appreciate the...

This 10th novel in her Temperance Brennan series is much better than the last one, Break no Bones. Unlike Bones the TV show, the original Brennan is more integrated in the world, has an ex, a daughter, a sister, an off and on beau. This novel delves into Brennan's childhood and the disappearance of ...
