Boris Pintar, born in Slovenia in 1964, graduated from the University of Ljubljana with a degree in philosophy and the sociology of culture. He is a writer, arts reviewer, translator, and editor. He has written a wide range of works, including a novel, two short-story collections, a collection of essays, plays, comic strip scripts, and a screenplay. His work has appeared in numerous literary and critical journals and other publications, both in Slovenia (Apokalipsa, Delo, Dialogi, Gorenjski Glas, Literatura, Mentor, Nova Revija, Primorska Srečanja, Radio Slovenia, Sejalec, Sodobnost) and abroad - in the United States (Del Sol Review, Mirage Periodical, Talisman, Velvet Mafia, Flit Magazine, Absinthe, Ganymede, The Gay & Lesbian Review), Mexico (Posdata), United Kingdom (Chroma Journal), the Czech Republic (Blatt), Spain (Horizon, alex_lootz), Bosnia-Herzegovina (Album, Zora), Croatia (Lapis Histriae) and Serbia (Balkanski književni glasnik, Symposion).
