I know I read this before but I didn't remember much of the story. It's a rather dark novel. Gabe is a hard man. He's cold and cruel through most of the story. That can work for me on occasion. It did and didn't in this case. While I didn't hate him - or the story - it isn't a favorite.

There was a lot of backstory influencing the characters and plot. Well handled though and it kept the conflict high. Gabe is definitely an alpha male.
