Brandon Barrows lives in the shadow-haunted hills of Vermont, the last bastion of Lovecraft's New England, with his wife and a pair of elder spawn cats, writing comic books, prose and poetry. Probably best known for the detective comic series JACK HAMMER, published by Action Lab Comics, his other comics work also includes: VOYAGA, a science fiction graphic novel published by AAM/ Markosia; RED RUN, a horror one-shot, published by Alterna Comics; and the webcomic THE CRIME QUIRKS GAZETTE. He has also contributed to the New York Times-bestselling anthology FUBAR from FUBAR Press and has had comics work published by or forthcoming from such other publishers as Heavy Metal, Strange Aeons, Reasonably Priced Comics, Fan- Atic Press, Grim Crew, Monsterverse Entertainment and more. As part of a creative team, he was a recipient of the 2013 Ghastly Award for horror comics. Over twenty of his short stories have appeared in such venues as the book anthologies "Whispers from the Abyss" from 01 Publishing, "That Ain't Right: Historic Accounts of the Miskatonic" from Mad Scientist Journal and magazines/ webzines including Fantasy Scroll, Sorcerous, Mystic Signals, Fiction365, Voluted Tales, One-Forty Fiction, The Were-Traveler and others. In January, 2014, first collection of weird tales "The Altar in the Hills" was published by Raven Warren Studios.He has also had nearly forty poems published, including being honored as the featured poet of the February, 2014, issue of Scifaikuest magazine.
