Brenda Murphy has written nine books and edited or co-edited eleven more, mostly about American drama and theater. Her most recent books are The Theatre of Tennessee Williams and a forthcoming collective memoir, Remembering Eugene O’Neill. She has also published eighty essays and articles. Brenda taught literature for more than thirty years at St. Lawrence University and The University of Connecticut. Since then, she has concentrated on writing criticism, biography and fact-based historical fiction. She and her husband make their home in Connecticut.
