Brian Brennan (1943-) was born in Dublin, Ireland. In 1966, at age 23, he immigrated to Canada and settled in Vancouver. After touring the country for two years as a cabaret pianist and singer he went into journalism and worked as a staff writer at the Calgary Herald for 25 years. In 1999 he started writing and publishing books about the social history and colourful characters of Western Canada. To date he has published 10 books, all Canadian bestsellers, and received numerous awards for his writing.This biography was provided by the author.
