I always thought I'd end up as a writer. By the time I was forty, I'd ridden a pro rodeo bull, jumped from a bungee tower, performed stand-up comedy, played heavy metal in several bands, married (twice), founded (and bankrupted) two restaurants and consumed a stunning amount of adult beverages. But I hadn't published a word. So, I left my job and went back to school, earning a creative writing degree from Colorado State University. Since then, I've published three novels, two textbooks and an e-book novella. More on the way.I might not have ended up on this path. In alternate universes, I am a talk radio host, a tent show evangelist or a pro wrestler. In this universe, I live in the mountains with my wife and dog, write and pay some of my bills
