Brian Krans has reported for newspapers from Hurricane Katrina, covered more than a hundred homicides, and investigated the politics of antibiotic resistance. He has, however, also written on the health benefits of a Disney princess' twerking routine. His work has been published by numerous outlets including The Radvocate, Be-Mag, Wired, Charged, the Huffington Post, Yahoo! News, Fox News and BladeorDie.com. Originally from Wisconsin, he now lives in Oakland, Calif.
