Brian Martinez is an American novelist and screenwriter. He studied Film at Long Island University where his short films played at the annual festivals. Riding the recent boom of self-publishing, Martinez released his apocalyptic A Chemical Fire to a reception of strong reviews. He followed it up with Kissing You is Like Trying to Punch a Ghost, a surreal novel of love and experimental drugs, before returning to the apocalyptic genre with the serialized saga The Mountain and The City.
