Read by Tracie BennettBridget Jones: The Edge of Reason is another laugh-out-loud look at the life of 90's Everywoman Bridget Jones. Picking up where the blockbuster bestselling Bridget Jones's Diary left off, The Edge of Reason finds Bridget ensconced in an up and down relationship with Mark Darcy, whom she finally decided to give a chance at the end of the first book. Bridget's best Singleton pals Jude and Shaz are on hand to dispense advise about men and relationships culled from the pages of GETTING THE LOVE YOU WANT and KEEPING THE LOVE YOU FIND, with unfortunate results. And Bridget's Smug Married friend Magda still mixes phone calls with friends with instructions shouted at her kids: "Bridget, hi! I was just ringing to say in the potty! Do it in the potty!" Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason has all the charm and hearty laughs that made Diary such a smash.

Not as fresh and quotable as the first Bridget Jones book, but still a lot of fun. More entertaining if you're familiar with Persuasion, since her references (callbacks?) to it are hilarious. Too sleepy to type more. Read this book if you like funny.
As I've mentioned, I'm relistening to the Bridget Jones books because the new one is out and I'll be reading/listening to it soon; I feel I need to brush up on what happened ten billion years ago.So.Bridget.I never liked this story as well as the first one, though time has mellowed my viewpoint a bi...
This is my first youtube review for Bridget Jones The Edge of Reason. I had a hard time really getting out how I felt about the book, both in writing and talking. But here's a video Enjoy!
My dear Elizabeth Bennet.. I mean Bridget Jones, sorry! The only reason it took me so long to read your first diary (an unexpected 4 out of 5 stars by the way) is that I absolutely can’t stand the disturbing mentality behind the chick-lit genre. Don’t get me wrong; I totally get how the “failed ...
