Brie Spangler is an author-illustrator originally from the Boston area and now finds herself, sometimes inexplicably, on the west coast. She loves clambakes and baseball. When not drawing pictures or writing words, she can be found avoiding direct sunlight (which is very hard to do in California, but challenge accepted), drinking too much coffee, and snuggling with her husband and daughter. Her debut YA novel, BEAST, was named one of Publishers Weekly’s Best Of 2016.
