I really liked this one, but the romance was few and far between; it was mostly a story about healing and overcoming trauma and less about those two together. Still, I liked all characters, both main and secondary, I liked the writing and felt deeply moved by Eli's pain after what he went through. ...

A nice novel with a sense of serious issue (of gay bashing) around it. I don't know why, but the tone of the story somehow reminds me of a novel by Lisa Jewell called "Ralph's Party" (Random weird opinion, of course) -- since there are a number of characters and secondary stories happening surroundi...
A very good first novel from Dawn Kimberly Johnson. I'll be watching for her next book.
