Hrmphh. That is the only way to describe how I felt after reading Deception Island. It was a lot darker than I expected, with a lot of sad pieces all tied together. I could not put this book down! The action kept me turning pages. The darkness of both Holly and Rafe was very gritty, and I loved their connection. My heart pounded when theirs did. Tears formed at times. I laughed at the witty remarks. I highly recommend this book and look forward to more.
