*Book source ~ Library When some Japanese vampires attack the slayer stronghold in Scotland using some funky tricks that vamps aren’t supposed to be able to do and steal Buffy’s scythe, she sends Xander to go pump Dracula for information. Since Drac is the only other vampire they know who can tran...

I think I just don't get comic books. This is totally different to the TV series, I don't know why I was expecting it not to be.I don't understand why Buffy is all of a sudden a Lesbian, or a Bisexual, or whatever. As if she needs to hump the nearest thing that moves. And the way Willow wanted to kn...

I didn't love everything about this volume, but one thing I loved surprisingly was Dracula. I say surprisingly, because I wouldn't name the "Buffy Versus Dracula" episode in Season Four as a favorite. But I thought the character was actually more interesting in this comic than he ever was on the sho...

I could not stop laughing. The dialogue and slap-stick comedy is fantastic in this book, and the action built so much momentum I couldn't wait to pick up the next volume (though things slowed down until 7 or 8).

Okay, the Dracula episode of the teevee series is one that I only half-watched, if that, so I don't get most of the Dracula/Xander interaction, and I'm kinda pissed that the cute relationship between Xander and Renee had to end in her death. I realize it made sense within the story but still, BOO.(f...

Yeah, not my favorite of season 8. I enjoyed seeing Dracula again, but the storyline was just too close to goofy. I could've done without giant!Dawn attacking Tokyo, for example. And honestly, that storyline is just so overplayed and I'm just sick of it. I didn't like Xander's new girlfriend getting...

I'm loving this series. It's pretty much just a continuation of the TV series, and it's got spot-on characterization. Though I'm not sure how I feel about Buffy jumping in bed with one of her slayers. That one seemed pretty off to me. And no punches are pulled--in fact, I think fewer punches are pul...
Title and Statement of Responsibility
And they're off to Japan! I enjoyed how the writers brought in some plot elements from earlier volumes, peppered the action with some humorous moments, and gave us a heart-wrenching twist that would have had TV-watching Buffy fans standing up and yelling WHAT? And I also have to mention how much I e...

Finally catching up to "Buffy, Season Eight." They had a ball in this one doing stuff the TV show's special effects budget wouldn't have allowed, like Giant Dawn vs. Mecha-Dawn. That was the funniest part of the battle in Tokyo against a gang of shapechanging Japanese vampires. Also, the banter betw...
