16/3 - A lot of other reviewers are seeing Black Swan similarities or are reading the book because they loved the movie. Maybe I'm old, but I'm not thinking of Black Swan, I'm thinking of Center Stage from 2000. I loved that movie when it came out and it's still one of my all-time favourite dance ...

"I'm a dancer in the corps de ballet, just one of the dozens of girls who dance in graceful unison each night. Wow... I don't know what to say but this book was really really good... The emotions that Flack pulls you in are just incredible. She makes you cry with Hannah, laugh with her, and ultimately pull for her to get promoted.

Let me say one thing: I admire that Sophie Flack decided to show the life of a ballerina (or, per say, her life as a ballerina) in this novel. That's really respectful. I've searched her up -- would you believe me if I said that I haven't heard of her before? -- and read some of her interviews and w...

So this book to me is pretty much the movie Centre Stage in book form. And I LOVED Centre Stage growing up.
