Absolutely spellbinding! So many times I felt like I was living in the story. Action packed paranormal suspense with the focus on the ability to control nature - earth, wind, fire, and water. Once again I loved one of TJ Klune's books. As well as the romance between Seven and Felix I liked the fantasy elements (or elementals) of the story, set in the not to distant future in a world not dissimilar to ours.From the beginning we know that all is not as it seems. I really liked this book. It got its flaws - it's overwritten for sure, I didn't really liked the main character, something seemed off with him, but I enjoyed every second of reading. The plot is ok, the mythology well developed, and the first instalment ended with a nice cliffhanger. 4 stars.
I’m not quite sure how to rate this book.Burn was a lot of things: refreshing, exciting, surprising, but at times also boring or tedious. I loved the action, Seven’s rough side or the use of elemental powers.But the flashbacks and the repetitiveness (in some parts of the book) were just exhausting.
