It started as a simple assignment for Aussie bush guide Dave Taylor - escort a lone Englishman in quest of an unknown species of butterfly. However Nicholas Goring is no ordinary tourist, his search is far from straightforward, and it's starting to look as if the butterflies don't want to be found. A sweet lyrical slow-burn story that's a little heart-breaking. I really want to visit Australia now!

EDITED: because I found the perfect picture (not that the MC looks anything like it)2,5 starsUp to a third of the book, I thought this was one of those rare 4 to 5-stars reads. But then everything just turned too sappy and boring.

Sweet story, charming characters, but the theme of "life is short and must be enjoyed" was way too overdone. I could have done with more subtlety and less foreshadowing.
