C. Dale Young practices Medicine full-time and teaches in the Warren Wilson College MFA Program for Writers. His work has appeared in many literary magazines and journals and has been included in a number of anthologies, including volumes of the Best American Poetry. A recipient of fellowships from the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, the National Endowment for the Arts, the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, and the Rockefeller Foundation, he lives in San Francisco. The Halo, his fourth collection of poetry, was published by Four Way Books in early 2016. His linked collection of short stories, The Affliction, is forthcoming from Four Way Books in 2018.
