Who would want to kill an accountant? That's the puzzle Lieutenant Eve Dallas is dealing with. The "why would someone kill an accountant" is easy; it's not a mugging, the woman must've found something she wasn't supposed to and they took her out. And eve is back to "who" and needs to pick the right ...

I enjoyed this latest installment in the In Death series, but it seemed very much derivative. Many of the "new" characters, and plot devices seemed repeated, slightly changed, from earlier installments -- venal business executives, brutish killer for hire, trap set for the bad guys. Even the all w...

After reading the last three in the series, this book felt so slow; usually it takes me a couple of afternoon readings to inhale an ...In Death installment. This book was more than a decent addition to the series, just fell flat when you go from the awesomeness of Treachery, NY to Dallas, and Delusi...

The beginning of this book when the victim's family was notified was very sad, it almost had me crying. Good story although I am not that interested in finances stuff so it was kind of "woosh" for me but the story was good. Very entertaining lines and I liked the "bonus" that Peabody earned. It had ...

I have to confess that I had to start this book three times to get into it, which is something that I've never had to do with one of the In Death books before. I, honestly, don't know if it was me or if it was the book, but I just couldn't get into it either of the first two times I tried to read i...

I didn't like this one as much. I can't really pinpoint why, but it just felt bland. While the main focus of the book is about Dallas, I'd still like to get a little more of Roarke and Peabody. I think part of the problem is that they are starting to read as props for Dallas. Tools she uses to so...

Really a 3.5 stars. Too many bleeping names! Too much business jargon. IMO, a pretty lame reason to be murdered. Have to say I was greatly disappointed with the finale. It read like a bad episode of Hart to Hart.

3.8 stars.Firstly, ROARKE.That man, this charming, sleek Irish rogue, is going to be the death of me. I've said it before and I'll say it again. He is the best romance novel hero I've ever had the pleasure of coming across.Secondly, the plot. Although not that interesting in this book, the bits and ...
